Do you own a bike? If yes, for sure you got a riding helmet too. Usually, when we wear the helmet, we feel some irritation and discomfort beneath it. Maybe because of this, most of us refuse to wear the helmet while riding. Now, it’s a big no-no to riding without a helmet. But, if your helmet is so tight and misfitting, which over time may lead to huge hair loss. Apart from this some other troubles can also arise due to wearing the helmet.
Hair loss from wearing a helmet can also occur when your head sweats. The sweat gathers on the pores can damage the roots of your hair, causing loss of hair especially for men. Cover your head with a scarf, which will absorb the moisture from your head and will keep the natural oils that seal in your hair. This will make your hair intact in your head. Make sure that you wear your helmet properly and normally.
Give your hair some air by taking a break or have a stopover when you opt for a long drive. Your helmet becomes a breeding ground for airborne bacteria due to sweat, dirt and food particles that could infect your scalp and cause hair fall. It could also affect the growth of your hair. Clean your helmet with an anti-bacterial solution regularly, which is the best and easiest thing you can keep your helmet healthy. Make sure you always let it dry thoroughly after every wash to make it bacteria-free. This will prevent infection in your scalp too.
Remember, it is better to lose your hair than losing your life. Don’t worry! Helmet hair loss can be prevented and cured anyway.
