The quest for the truth invariably leads you to the truth, the adage says.

So it happened to Parameswaran Vaidyar, The presiding physician of the Vaidyar family, way back in 1796. A deeply spiritual Healer, Parameswaran Vaidyar was widely respected as a spiritual Guru as well. One morning, after his Daily Pooja, Parameswaran Vaidyar invited his wife to meet the new “Visitor” in their home. Seeing no one else in the vicinity, she was understandably perplexed.

“Why don’t you touch me and look?” asked Parameswaran Vaidyar.

She did so, and fainted at once. For, manifest before her was the indescribable sight of the Sakti Incarnate, The Mother-head of the three Worlds.

The legend has it that this mystic Power was later honored with a Temple in the premises of the Vaidyar estate. The Vaidyar’s illustrious Ayurvedic tradition, ordained by the Divine Mother, continues unhindered, over the centuries, to this very day.
